1.The basic design process of circuit board can be divided into the following four steps:
(1) design of circuit schematic diagram
The design of circuit schematic diagram mainly uses the schematic editor of Protel DXP to draw the schematic diagram.
(2) generate network report
Network report is a report that shows the link relationship between circuit principle and various components in. It is the bridge and link between circuit schematic design and circuit board design (PCB design). Through the network report of circuit schematic, we can quickly find the connection between components, so as to provide convenience for the later PCB design.
⑶ design of printed circuit board
The design of printed circuit board is what we usually call PCB design. It is the final form transformed from circuit schematic diagram. The relevant design of this part is more difficult than that of circuit schematic diagram. We can complete this part with the help of the powerful design function of Protel DXP.
(4) generate printed circuit board report
After the design of printed circuit board is completed, it is also necessary to generate various reports, such as pin report, circuit board information report, network status report, etc., and finally print the printed circuit diagram.
2.The design of circuit schematic diagram is the basis of the whole circuit design. Its design directly determines the effect of PCB design. Generally speaking, the design process of circuit schematic diagram can be divided into the following seven steps:
(1) start Protel DXP schematic editor
(2) set the size and layout of the circuit schematic diagram
(3) take out the required components from the component library and place them on the work plane
(4) connect components according to design requirements
(5) adjust the components after wiring
(6) save the drawn schematic document
(7) print out drawings
3.The paper size, direction and color are mainly realized in the “documents options” dialog box. Execute the design → options command to open the “documents options” dialog box. You can set the paper size in the standard styles area. Click the button to select the A4 ~ orcade paper type in the drop-down list box. The orientation of the drawing is set through the orientation option in the options section of the documents Options dialog box. Click the button, select landscape, and set the horizontal drawing; Select portrait to set the vertical drawing. The paper color setting is realized in the options section of the paper setting dialog box. Click the border color block to set the border color of the paper, and click the sheet color block to set the bottom color of the paper.
4.Execute the command of design → options → change system font to pop up the “font” dialog box. Through this dialog box, users can set the system font, and set the color, size and font of the system font.
5.Setting the grid and cursor is mainly realized in the “preferences” dialog box. Execute the command tools → preferences to open the “preferences” dialog box.
Set grid: in the “preferences” dialog box that opens, select the graphic editing tab. In the visible grids column of the cursor grid options section, select the line grid option to set the linear grid, and select the dot grid option to set the point grid (no grid).
Set cursor: select the cursor type option of cursor grid options in the graphic editing tab. Under this option, there are three cursor types: large cursor90, small cursor90 and small cursor45. The user can select any cursor type.
